Meet Leena Nair; Global CEO of luxury brand Chanel

Leena Nair: Move aside the Indian tech titans we are adding luxury and glamour to this line-up of top global CEOs from India. The 111 year old luxury brand Chanel has announced that Unilever's Chief Humar Resource Officer, Leena Nair will be taking over as CEO of the iconic brand. Leena leaves Unilever after 30 years of service.

Leena Nair, 52 is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, had joined HUL, Unilever's Indian subsidiary in 1992 as as a management trainee. She was then appointed as the factory personnel manager of Lipton (India) Ltd in 1993.

In just 7 years she elevated as HR manager of Hindustan Lever India. In 2016 Nair joined the Unilever Leadership Executive, based in London and became the youngest, first woman and first Asian to be elevated as the CHRO.

Nair, in her new position with the French luxury group Chanel, will be based in London where she has been with Unilever for the past 5 years.
