An unarmed man was brutally thrashed by about two dozen people for allegedly 'carrying beef' in his truck in Gurugram's Badshahpur area, on Friday. The horrific video doing the rounds of social media demonstrating the collapse of law & order near the country's capital.
One person has been arrested in connection with the case after the video went viral. The so-called cow vigilantes also reportedly misbehaved with the local police when they tried to intervene into the matter.
The victim, Lukman Khan, sustained multiple injuries including skull fracture and is admitted in a hospital where his condition is stable but critical. The owner of the vehicles said that the meat was buffalo and he has been in the business for 50 years.
