A huge fire erupted near Elephant and Castle train station in South London with videos showing plumes of smoke billowing in the area.
London Fire Brigade confirmed that underneath the railway arches three commercial units, four cars and a telephone box had caught fire in the incident.
Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were on scene to tackle to blaze.
A massive plume of black smoke could be seen rising across London's skyline.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Officers and the London Ambulance Service are supporting London Fire Brigade at the scene.
