Maruti Suzuki India has released the monthly sales numbers for June 2021, during which the company's total sales stood at 147,368 units. However, do remember, sales were low in May due to the lockdown. With respect to year-on-year sales, the automaker registered a 156 per cent growth. Maruti Suzuki’s mini and subcompact segments comprising the Alto, WagonR, Baleno, Ignis and Dzire collectively accounted for 86,288 units. Sales from utility vehicles including the Vitara Brezza, XL6, Ertiga, and the S-Cross stood at 28,172 units last month, while the company sold only 602 examples of the Ciaz sedan. Lastly, Maruti sold 9218 units of the Eeco van in June this year.
