Markets end flat, Yes Bank posts biggest single-day loss

Markets on Wednesday closed flat after paring losses in the last hour of trade. Sensex ended lower by 35 points but managed to retain 39,000 mark while Nifty slipped 6 points to settle at 11,748 led by Yes Bank which posted its biggest single-day fall on the back of a dismal fourth-quarter report and NBFCs on the downgrade of Reliance Home and Reliance Finance. Nifty midcap and smallcap also underperformed as the market breadth remained in favour of declines.
