VAR or video assistant referee was once again under the spotlight as Manchester United schooled Tottenham on Sunday night in the Premier League. First, a goal from Edinson Cavani was disallowed after the referee consulted the VAR for a possible foul against Spurs' Son Heung Min. A few minutes later Son gave Spurs the opening goal which remained the only strike of the 1st half. Pushed into the corner, Manchester United came back stronger and scored thrice in the 2nd half including a goal each from Fred, Cavani, and Mason Greenwood to finish the match 3-1 and collect all 3 points. The win reduces the gap between the two Manchester clubs to 9 points as United has played a game less.
