A 28-year-old who rode a jet ski across the Irish Sea from Scotland to the Isle of Man to see his girlfriend was caught on camera.
He was later arrested for breaching the island's Covid-19 laws by making the journey. It took Dale McLaughlan four-and-a-half hours to make the 40 km sea trip-after expecting the journey would take 40 minutes.
He walked an additional 25 km to the island's capital town where his girlfriend lives. The Isle of Man's COVID-19 law states that non-residents can't enter the island without special permission.
