A man from Idaho has reportedly been banned from visiting the Yellowstone National Park in the United States for trying to cook chicken in a thermal hot spring.

The incident was brought to the notice of rangers on August 7. The man was seen with a group of 10 others, carrying cookware towards the Shoshone Geyser Basin, with two chickens inside a sack.

The man has now been slapped with two $600 fines, a ban on visiting the park and 2 years of unsupervised probation. In the past, visitors have suffered injuries for coming too close to the thermal springs.
