Maharashtra Govt writes to vaccine producers, seeks clarity for 6 month supply

Reports indicate that the Maharashtra government has written to vaccine manufacturers Serum and Bharat Biotech to give clarity on availability and supply of vaccines over the next 6 months. Uddhav Thackeray led state govt has also sought final clarity on pricing of the doses. The state would need 12 crore vaccines to cover the eligible population from May 1. Maharashtra on Monday set a record by vaccinating five lakh people for COVID-19 in a single day, the highest ever by any State in the country.
