Maharashtra has kicked in a five-level plan to ease lockdown restrictions depending on infection rates and hospital bed occupancy.
In Mumbai, restaurants, shops selling non-essential items and public places have been allowed to reopen from Monday but malls, theatres and multiplexes will continue to remain shut. The city has been categorised under level 3 of the ''unlock'' plan.
Local trains in Mumbai can carry only essential workers. Buses will be allowed to run to full capacity, but passengers can't travel standing to avoid crowding.
In Pune, dine-in service at 50% capacity has been allowed at eateries. Spas and salons has also opened but will service limited clients.
