A nine-month pregnant woman went into labour on board the Mahalaxmi Express which is stranded in flood waters at Vangani, just 100 kilometres away from Mumbai. The woman, who was travelling to Kohlapur for the delivery of her child, found herself stranded in Thane flood waters since Friday evening. The Indian Express reported nine pregnant women onboard the train were rescued. Ambulances with 37 doctors and gynaecologists were deployed for an emergency.
