macOS Monterey to be available for eligible Mac devices on October 25

Apple has announced that macOS Monterey, their next operating system first announced at WWDC, will be available for all eligible Mac devices starting October 25.

To recall, macOS Monterey features a new Safari browser with a redesigned tab bar that combines tabs and the search field, and Tab Groups to help users organise their open tabs.

Shortcuts arrives on the Mac and will let users quickly accomplish tasks in apps.

Users with iPads or other Mac devices can now use Universal Control to let one keyboard and mouse control all their Apple devices. Universal control works automatically when compatible devices are placed next to each other.

The Mac now also works as an AirPlay display, and iPhone and iPad users can now mirror their screens and play content from their phones on the Mac.
