On the day that 71 seats across 9 states voted in the fourth round of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the Congress moved the Supreme Court alleging that the Election Commission had failed to act on its complaints against the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and BJP President, Amit Shah. Congress' Salman Soz describes the EC's conduct as 'deeply disappointing', but the BJP's Swadesh Singh counters the charge, calling it a sign that the Opposition is expecting defeat in the elections.
