Budget Session of Parliament begins. Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the economic survey in Parliament on Monday. The survey has pegged this year's GDP at 9.2%, and 8-8.5% GDP growth has been projected in FY23.

The CEA said that government has pursued 4 pronged approach to prepare economy for post-Pandemic world:
Short-term support to economy, especially to vulnerable sections
While keeping a firm eye on fiscal stability in medium term
Structural & supply-side reforms, and
Process reforms

CPI MP Binoy Viswam on Monday submitted a notice to move a privilege motion against Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his statement in Parliament last year on the Pegasus spyware issue.
