Being in water during this hot and humid weather feels relaxing and soothing. But spending long hours in the pool can make you tan.
Recently, dermatologist Jushya Bhatia Sarin shared a post on Instagram, highlighting the reasons our skin becomes prone to tanning underwater.
She advises to use a water-resistant sunscreen and re-apply it every 40-80 minutes. Always avoid swimming in outdoor pools during peak hours of the sun. Use gentle body wash after swimming and avoid harsh soaps and scrubbing.
