Amidst the scorching heat, people are trying their hands on hacks which claim to keep them cool. There are several videos doing rounds on the internet in which people are seen hanging wet towels in front of fans and coolers.

This alleged cooling technique has garnered a number of views on social media platforms. However, experts are warning against this hack and are saying that this is unsafe.

Giuseppe Capanna, product safety engineer at UK company Electrical Safety First told The Post that placing a wet towel in front of a cooler or table fan increases the chance of electrocuting the person. Other than this, it could also destabilize the device.

He also said that people should not blindly follow hacks shared by TikTok users as they are potentially unsafe.

Moreover, this is not the only hack that is going viral on the internet. A few days ago experts raised a warning against sleeping in the nude. They said that by sleeping in the nude, sweat gets collected on the skin and can make people feel hotter.
