Barbie the most popular dolls ever, have been revamped again and this time they are taller and are meant for children as young as three years old. They are slightly softer-bodied and follow high heeled, petite and curvy iterations of the dolls that were released five years ago as massive makeover.
The American toy manufacturing company Mattel has launched this new series of Barbie called, ‘My First Barbie’ which are 13.5 inches tall, 2 inches taller than traditional Barbies.
Barbie has been criticised in the past as promoting unattainable, sexualized body standards for girls. Hence, ‘My First Barbie’, is here to try to eliminate that issue. It has been priced for $19.99.
