According to media reports, students in West Bengal's Durgapur are buying flavoured condoms not as a contraceptive but as an intoxicant. 

How does a person get high from flavoured condoms? 

According to a News 18 report quoting a chemistry teacher, soaking flavoured condoms in hot water for a long time causes large amount of organic molecules to break down into alcohol compounds and that causes intoxication. 

What are the health risks caused by the intoxication of flavoured condoms?

Those who get high on flavoured condoms are prone to several health complications including chest pain, fever, headache, shivering, and a long-term use can impact mental health.
