A latest study has made a shocking revelation that a number of soft contact lenses from the US are largely made up of toxic, cancer-causing forever chemicals, reported Guardian.
Researchers tested 18 popular kinds of contact lenses and found that there were high levels of organic fluorine, a marker of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFA) in each.
Notably, PFAs are linked to a number of severe health issues like fetal complications, liver disease, cancer, autoimmune disorders, and kidney disease.
