Are you fed up with back acne after waxing? Fret not, dermatologist, Garekar recently shared some simple tips you can opt for if you suffer from it.

She suggests doing cold compresses, wearing loose cotton clothes, and avoid sweating, exercising, and hot shower. And, if you have access to calamine lotion apply it twice a day.

She also suggests consulting a dermatologist if all these remedies don't work.

Back acne is a common thing that can appear after waxing, but treating it at the right time is a good way to avoid further infection.

Back acne after waxing can be caused by various factors:

Irritation: The process of waxing involves removing hair from the roots, which can irritate the hair follicles and lead to inflammation, especially in sensitive skin.

Dead Skin Cells: Waxing removes not just the hair but also the top layer of dead skin cells. If this layer is not properly exfoliated or if there is a buildup of dead skin, it can contribute to acne.

Bacterial Infection: The hair follicles, when exposed after waxing, are susceptible to bacteria. Bacterial infection can lead to the development of acne.

Sweating and Friction: Tight clothing, sweating, or friction from rubbing against clothes can exacerbate the irritation and contribute to the development of acne.
