Masturbation has several health benefits for men and we've been taking it for granted. This is what a study is suggesting.
A latest research from the Proceedings of the Royal Society B found that masturbation without ejaculation just before s*x can increase arousal.
The study also highlighted that regular masturbation allows men to get rid of "inferior semen, leaving fresh, high-quality sperm available for mating, which are more likely to outcompete those of other males.”
Masturbation also helps to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STI) by cleansing out the urethra.
Notably, this study is currently limited to men and benefits of masturbation in women are unclear. The study authors said that more data on female sexual behaviour are needed to better understand the role of female masturbation.
