According to a new study published in the journal BMJ Medicine high caffeine intake could lower body fat levels and cut the risk of developing diabetes.
The study was conducted on 10,000 participants. The research used Mendelian randomisation, a method of establishing cause and effect through genetic evidence to calculate caffeine levels in blood.
Hence, it was concluded that higher concentrations of caffeine were associated with lower body mass index(BMI), healthy weight, better metabolism, and fat burn and were also linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.
