Parents buy health drinks for their children thinking they have various benefits. However, according to experts, these drinks are anything but healthy. They are full of sodium, caffeine, soda and sugar which are enough to make children fall sick.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 63% of kids below the age of 19 drink sweetened beverages which make them obese.

The added sugar enhances the taste of the drinks but might adversely impact learning abilities of children, affect their liver, heart and may cause asthma and acne.

The high amount of caffeine added to these drinks may raise blood pressure and interfere with sleep cycle.
