After dopamine dressing, Gen Zers on the social media platform TikTok are obsessing over 'dopamine decor.' The term according to a UK influencer refers to decorating a space that reflects your personality and makes you happy.

The trend is all the rage on TikTok and Gen Zers are fully embracing the rise of the colourful and vibrant decor trend. It includes relaxing and carefree decoration as well as incorporating your favourite colours along with vintage items and pieces.

Dopamine decor is part of the maximalism 'more-is-more’ concept. It’s the opposite of minimalist decor, you get to go all out to cheer yourself up with all the things you love.

As per researchers, living spaces can affect mental well-being. Bold, playful tones are said to encourage people to express more, and the idea is to let the inner child take over, and focus on joy when decorating.
