Telangana Ganesh Laddoo auctioned for ₹ 1.87 crore, creates history in the state

In a record-breaking auction a Ganesh laddu was sold for a staggering ₹ 1.87 crore, outpacing last year’s price by an impressive ₹ 61 lakh.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, this auctioned was held at Bandlaguda Jagir municipal corporation in Hyderabad and has now become the most expensive laddu in Telangana.

Last year, the same laddu fetched ₹ 1.26 crore, but this time, despite the hefty sum. The identity of the buyer has been kept under wraps.

For comparison, in 2022, a laddu from Richmond Villas garnered ₹ 60 lakh in its own auction. 

As Hyderabad's Ganesh immersion festivities began today morning, the spotlight shifts to another highly anticipated event—the Balapur Ganesh laddu auction which fetched ₹ 27 lakh last year. Expectations are soaring for yet another record-breaking sale.
