Sunday brunch is the new Friday night - The Economist recently highlighted this fascinating shift in modern socializing.

For a long time, Friday nights have been synonymous with going out with friends or colleagues. But it seems that Sunday brunch has now taken over as the preferred weekend occasion for many.

One of the reasons behind the rise of Sunday brunch is the changing nature of work and leisure. With more people adopting flexible work schedules and remote work options, the boundaries between weekdays and weekends have become blurred.

As a result, traditional Friday night activities are no longer confined to that specific day. People now have the freedom to enjoy socializing on Sundays, making brunch an attractive option.

Other than this,  Restaurants and cafes have recognized the demand and have adapted their offerings accordingly. Many establishments now provide extended brunch hours, unique menus, and bottomless drink options to cater to the growing trend.

While Sunday brunch may not completely replace Friday night activities, it has undoubtedly emerged as a popular alternative.
