Holi is here and we bet you are super-excited to play with colours, have delicious food and chill with your friends. If you are hosting a party at home, here is a simple desi tres leches cake recipe that will amp up your Holi bash and make everyone's mouth water.
To make this delicious tres leches cake, you need 1/2 cup curd, baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar, oil, thandai syrup, maida, saffron, and cardamom powder. Mix the dry and wet ingredients separately, then mix them and bake in a cooker, pan, or microwave for 30 minutes.
Next make the flavoured milk with 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup condensed milk, thandai syrup, saffron, and fresh cream.
For the toppings, you can add, whipped cream, some pistachios, dried rose petals, saffron strands and silver wark. Poke holes in the cake, add flavoured milk, garnish and serve to your guests!
If you are playing Holi, make sure to apply a thick layer of moisturizer and sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply a layer of Vaseline on your lips and the area around your eyes for better hydration.
Before playing with colours, it is advisable to cut your nails short. Apply coconut oil or almond oil all over your body to protect your skin from harsh chemicals. It's better to avoid exfoliating your skin before and after Holi.
