Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is turning a year older today and she had the most fun time on her birthday night. The diva hosted a party and many from Bollywood were seen attending the event. While the diva has a fun time with friends, let us check out what the actor loves to eat when not in the mood to party and how to make it.

If you are an Alia fan we bet you know that she loves beetroot salad. In one of her YouTube videos, the Highway actor revealed that she absolutely loves this simple, delicious, and healthy beetroot salad recipe. Wondering how to make it? Let us find out!

How to make Alia Bhatt's beetroot salad

To make this salad you need 2 boiled & grated beet root, 2 cups fresh yogurt, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp pink salt (optional), 1 tsp black pepper powder. For tadka - 1 tbsp desi ghee, a pinch of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp asafoetida, 5-6 curry leaves, and 3 tbsp coriander finely chopped. 

For the tadka, heat 1 tablespoon ghee, add 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp asfoetida, and 5-6 curry leaves. Heat this, add to the yogurt-beetroot mixture, and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and mix well. Serve this cold.

Alia had revealed that she ate a lot of beetroot during her Goa shoot as it was very hot,“I ate beetroot salad all the time because I was filming in Goa and it was very hot."

She further revealed that she never eats yoghurt without topping it with tadka.
