Gauri Khan has chocolate first thing in the morning - how good is this habit

According to a report by Indian Express, a study suggests a connection between having chocolate in the morning and fat burning. The study, involving postmenopausal women found that consuming 100g of milk chocolate within an hour of waking up led to decreased blood sugar levels and increased fat burning compared to those who didn’t have chocolate.

However, the study had its limitations as it used a specific amount - 100g of milk chocolate.

According to the report, there is no replacement for a proper breakfast and chocolate cannot be the first meal of the day.

However, chocolate can be a part of your regular breakfast if you have a balanced meal. If you are craving, make sure to have a small piece and balance it with some nuts.

What is the best time to eat chocolate?

To reap the benefits of dark or milk chocolate, it is better to enjoy it as a post-lunch dessert. As a thumb rule, you should avoid having chocolate after 5 pm to safeguard your sleep hours.
