Bollywood actor Yami Gautam has a flawless skin. The reportedly soon-to-be mother swears by natural remedies to take care of her skin. While fans are eagerly waiting to see Yami begin the next stage of her life, her skincare routine also has fans' attention.

As we mentioned, Yami likes to keep it natural. Earlier in an interview, Yami revealed that she usually uses homemade ingredients for facials and her favourite is rice powder. Here is how you can make an effective face pack from rice powder and its many benefits.

Yami Gautam's rice powder face pack recipe

To make Yami's simple facepack you need 2 tablespoons of rice powder and 1 tablespoon of plain yoghurt.

Start by grinding rice in a blender to make a fine powder. Sieve the powder to remove any lump. Next, take a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of rice powder with 1 tablespoon of plain yoghurt. Now stir it well until you get a thick, smooth paste.

The next step is to apply it on the face. Before you apply this face pack, cleanse your face with a mild cleanser. Now apply the rice powder to your face and neck. Make sure to leave your under-eye and lip areas. Allow it to rest for 15-20 minutes until it tries. Rinse off the pack with lukewarm water. Gently massage your face in circular motions as that will aid in exfoliating your skin too. Pat dry with a soft towel and follow it up with a mosituriser.

Benefits of using rice powder for skin

Rice powder helps in the gentle exfoliation of skin. It also helps remove dead cells and helps lighten dark skin. The yogurt in the face pack keeps your skin hydrated. Rice powder also has anti oxidants that reduce the signs of ageing.
