Winter season not only brings cosiness, but also ends up giving dry, flaky skin. Those who struggle with it always keep moisturisers handy but what if we tell you that it's not enough. 'Dry brushing' is mandatory too. Wondering, what it is? Here is a complete guide on this exfoliation method that skin enthusiasts are swearing by, this winter:

What is dry brushing?

Dry brushing is an exfoliation method and is more like a body massage with a dry, stiff-bristled brush that helps to get rid of flaky skin. It is believed that this process increases blood circulation and helps in detoxification. It should be done before bathing.

How to do dry brushing?

Before taking shower, start the process by rubbing your feet with the brush and work your way upwards in long strokes. Take a shower afterwards and moisturise your body thoroughly.

The brush should always be rinsed after every use and be dried under the sun.
