Big Boss winner and popular television star Tejasswi Prakash has shared the secret behind her lustrous hair on her YouTube channel.

To try this DIY regime, all you need is a bowl of rice and some water.

Start by rinsing half a bowl of rice twice, and keep the water for the second wash. Now, cover and leave the rice water overnight. Next morning, separate the rice water and transfer it into a bottle. Apply it on your hair for an hour and then rinse it with shampoo.

Once you make the rice water, you can store it in the refrigerator for about a week, and it can be used two to three times a week.

Benefits of using rice water on hair

Hair Growth: Rice water is believed to promote hair growth by improving the health of the hair follicles. The amino acids and vitamins in rice water nourish the hair and may help in reducing hair fall.
Strengthens Hair:
The inositol, a carbohydrate found in rice water, helps to strengthen the hair and reduce surface friction. This can make the hair more resistant to damage and breakage.
Improves Hair Elasticity:
Rice water can enhance the elasticity of the hair, making it more manageable and less prone to breakage.
Adds Shine:
Regular use of rice water can contribute to shinier and healthier-looking hair. The nutrients in rice water can smooth the hair cuticle and add a natural lustre.
