Newly engaged couple Sobhita Dhulipala, Naga Chaitanya shine in Manish Malhotra outfits on engagement day

Lovebirds Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are now engaged! The couple got engaged today, August 8 and we just cannot keep calm. Naga and Sobhita will reportedly tie the knot later this year.

For their big day, Sobhita and Naga shone in Manish Malhotra outfits. The ace designer shared deets of their engagement look and it is every bit breathtaking.

Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala shine in MM outfits

Manish Malhotra took to Instagram and shared exciting details of Sobhita's engagement saree. He revealed that the actor's saree was sourced from the weaving communities of Andhra Pradesh and is a tribute to her roots and rich traditions. 

According to MM, Sobhita can be seen wearing Uppada silk (from the region Uppada, Andhra Pradesh) in the golden blush colour of the Kanakaambaram, a traditional temple flower commonly worn in the hair by Telugu women as well as the eternal Padmam (lotus).

He further explained in his post, "The silhouette, referenced from paintings of iconic Telugu artist ‘Bapu’ - is a derivation of the classic half-saree style worn by young women of South India."

On the other hand, newly engaged Naga Chaitanya was seen in a classic Pattu pancha, laalchi and kanduva with a twist. This is a traditional 3 piece set worn by the men of Andhra Pradesh.

Explaining further the ace designer wrote, "The elegance of ivory brocade and muted gold tussar silk is complimented with accents of dori work in antique gold zari . Custom made ……… @manishmalhotraworld @manishmalhotrajewellery @manishmalhotravows."

Naga and Sobhita are now engaged!

Nagarjuna Akkineni took to X and shared pictures from his son's engagement ceremony, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.  God bless!"  8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."
