New York Fashion Week: Prabal Gurung pays ode to Nepalese roots by including septum ring, sindoor

At the ongoing New York Fashion Week, designer Prabal Gurung paid an ode to his Nepalese roots by including the touch of his culture on the runway. The models for the Prabal Gurung show were seen donning sindoor and septum ring with peppy attires. 

Speaking of the fall collection, fur-wired jackets, sheer dresses, and metallic gold prints, among others were the major highlights of Gurung's show.

Gurung told the Associated Press that his collection was exploring the Buddhist concept of 'anichya' or impermanence.
