For some of us, makeup means wearing a perfect shade of lipstick. However, there are a couple of things that need to be kept in mind while applying it.
Recently, dermatologist Dr Aanchal Panth posted a video on Instagram sharing 5 common lipstick mistakes to be avoided.
- Always make sure to apply a lip balm with SPF before applying a lipstick to prevent your lips from dryness.
- Dark-coloured lipsticks have a higher content of magnesium, chromium and lead. So it's better to use light-coloured ones on a daily basis.
- Try to use tinted lip gloss. It has a small amount of pigment and is made of moisturising ingredients.
- Always remove your lipstick before sleeping. Use micellar water or cleansing balm to remove it properly.
- Apply a thick layer of lip balm or a sleeping mask before going to bed to avoid chapped lips.
