Jeans don’t need to be washed very often; putting them in the washing machine once every month is advisable to keep them looking and smelling clean.
However, in a recent interview Fashion icon Tan France revealed that he washes his jeans after every 20th wear. In fact, Levi's CEO Chip Bergh also admitted that he'd gone ten years without washing his favourite pair of jeans.
So, how often should you really wash your jeans? Well, according to experts washing them after every 10th wear is a thumb rule. It will maintain the fabric and also the quality and colour of the jeans.
Other fabrics like cotton, silk, linen and synthetics should be washed after every three to four wears.
