Make up trends come and go. But not every make up trend is about making you prettier. There are some which can make you ugly. Yes you read that right. We agree that beauty or ugly are subjective topics and also sensitive at times. But this make up trend cries out loud for being ugly, and we are not kidding.

As the name suggests ‘The Ugly Make up trend’ or the 'Ugly beauty trend', is supposed to make you look quirky, weird and stand out.
Celebs like Gigi Hadid, Doja Cat and aothers have already embraced this trend.

Model Julia Fox is literally considered the brand ambassador of this trend. And her Instagram posts and looks are proofs enough for the same.

Now, beauty enthusiasts on TikTok are embracing this trend and the hashtag has over 13 million views on the social media platform.  Ugly make up look is all about embracing bright eye shadows, smudged eye make up as well as smudged lip colour. It is just the opposite of dewy and natural look.

So, instead of hiding the under eye dark circles this trend is all about embracing them. It is all about going out and embrace the wildness inside you and bring it out to the world.

According to psychologists, the concept of "ugly beauty" pertains less to women appearing unattractive and more to women creatively engaging with makeup from a feminine perspective. Paradoxically, witnessing this process is a form of beauty in itself.
