Dermatologist shares proven skincare tips to combat dryness this winter season

The winter season is the worst time for our skin. Dryness and chapped lips are the most common problems in this season. Fret not, dermatologist Garekar suggests some important tips for winter skincare.

Dr Garekar recommends taking quick baths with lukewarm water instead of long hot showers. If you have extremely dry skin, ditch the towel and slather moisturizer on damp skin.

She also suggests mixing a few drops of coconut oil with body moisturizer to combat skin dryness. And, if you're dealing with chapped lips, desi ghee is the best rescue.

Skin Moisturizer: Coconut oil is a rich and natural moisturizer, helping to combat dry and flaky skin caused by the cold winter air.
Lip Balm:
Applied to the lips, coconut oil can prevent and treat chapped lips, a common issue in cold weather.
Hair Conditioner:
The oil's moisturizing properties extend to the hair, preventing winter-induced dryness and frizz.
Cuticle Care:
Massage coconut oil into cuticles to prevent them from drying out and cracking in cold weather.
