Due to excessive sweating, dehydration and heat in summer, our skin suffers from sunburn, tanning, acne, and melasma. So, it becomes essential for us to take care of our skin. Here are some skincare mistakes that you should avoid making in summer.

Not applying sunscreen

No matter what's the season, experts recommend applying sunscreen for healthy skin to prevent yourself from tanning and sunburn. Apply sunscreen daily and do not forget to reapply every 2-3 hours.

Not applying moisturiser

In summer, our skin needs to be moisturised as much as during winter. Apply moisturiser even if you have oily skin or acne-prone skin.

Wearing heavy makeup

Stepping out in the sun with heavy makeup is not safe for the skin. Wearing heavy makeup results in congestion of pores. Experts recommend using tinted sunscreen to protect your face from harmful radiation.

Not exfoliating

In this season, it is necessary to exfoliate the skin to get rid of dead skin cells and formation of new cells.

Not staying hydrated

Hydration is very important for healthy skin. Drink 2-3 litres of water a day, eat seasonal fruits and consume food items with high water content.
