Bayern Munich footballer Robert Lewandowski was awarded the UEFA men's player of the year on Thursday after he helped his team clinch their 6th Champions League title. He finished ahead of Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne and Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. The Polish player who scored 15 goals in the Champions League, was also named as the UEFA forward of the year. The 32-year old also helped his side in winning both, the Bundesliga and German Cup by picking 55 goals in 47 games. With 34 goals, Lewandowski was also named the top-scorer in the last Bundesliga season.
