Lead is unhealthy, remove from hair dyes: FDA

The Food and Drug Administration has asked manufacturers to remove lead from hair dyes. The FDA says the use of lead acetate in hair dyes no longer corresponds to their safety standards and exposure to it can lead to negative health effects. FDA wants any hair dye that contains lead acetate to now have a warning label, till the products are reformulated.
