Lakhimpur Kheri case: Ashish Mishra arrested after being questioned for 12 hours

Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra as been arrested by Uttar Pradesh police after being interrogated for over 12 hours in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence that occurred on October 3. The police have said that he is not cooperating with the probe. 

Ashish Mishra appeared before the police on Saturday morning after a second summons was served to him the previous day when he did not turn up for interrogation. 

He has been named in an FIR following allegations that he was in one of the vehicles that mowed down four farmers last Sunday.

Ashish Mishra and his father have denied the allegation, saying they can produce evidence to prove he was at an event at that time.
