Barcelona's poor form continued in La Liga as Real Madrid beat them 2-1 on Sunday night to win El Clasico. David Alaba put Real ahead in the 32nd minute and it seemed that it would be the winner as no goal was scored after that till the 93rd minute.

Injury time saw the real action as Lucas Vazquez netted the second for Real Madrid. But Sergio Aguero pulled a consolation goal with his first strike for Barcelona in the 97th minute.

Madrid ended the day one point behind Real Sociedad on the 2nd spot while Barcelona are on the 9th spot.
