In a first, Kolkata is all set to get a tram library that will run through the educational hub of the city.
The library will house books, magazines, WiFi as well as material for competitive examinations like the civil services and GMAT.
The tram being launched by the West Bengal Transport Corporation, will travel through 4.5 km across the education hub-College Street, which has over 30 educational institutions including Calcutta University, and Presidency University.
Authorities also plan to organise book reading sessions, literary festivals and book launches.
