Commending their performance, the former all-rounder who was speaking on writer Jeffrey Archer Archer's podcast called the Indian Team the ambassador of the longest format of the game for over the last 5 years.

Explaining why India has been no. 1 in red-ball cricket consistently, Shastri said Virat worships Test match cricket, as does most of the Team. Listing his former team's achievement, Shastri said, from winning 2 series in Australia to winning in England, India has won everywhere around the world in red and white ball.
