Skipper Virat Kohli has defended his decision of playing Shahbaz Nadeem over Kuldeep Yadav in the Chennai Test which England won comprehensively by 227 runs.
Virat said that when you are playing two off-spinners, Kuldeep more or less becomes a similar kind of spinner and brings it into the right handers. We needed variety.
While he defended his decision, Kohli was also upset with the way the team failed to create pressure on England while they batted for almost 3 days in the Test match. He said that the team's body language and intensity was not up to the mark.
This is the 4th straight loss for India in Test cricket under Kohli as the team now will focus on the 2nd Test which will also be played in Chennai and will start on Saturday.
