After sitting out of the first two games of the season, Ishan Kishan finally got a game on Monday night against Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a tall order to chase 202 in Dubai against a decent bowling line up of RCB. 16/2 on the board after the departure of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav too was not helping the cause as Ishan Kishan walked out to bat with the asking rate going beyond 12 an over. 58 balls, 9 sixes and 2 fours later, former India Under 19 star was left with 19 to get in the final over. With Kieron Pollard firing on the other end, stars looked aligned for Mumbai to cross the finish line. The 22-year-old did most of the hard work as he smashed Isuru Udana to 2 sixes which bought the equation down to 5 from the last 2 balls. But glory eluded the Jharkhand batsman as he perished on the penultimate ball while batting on 99. Although his team managed to tie the match but they lost in the super over as Ishan's career-best score in IPL couldn't get his team over the line.
