'Kill, don't come crying to me,' Purvanchal VC triggers row

The vice-chancellor of Purvanchal University in Jaunpur has triggered a row after he made comments seemingly condoning violence. Addressing students at event in Ghazipur, Prof Raja Ram Yadav told students not to come crying to him if they get into a fight with someone they should beat that person and possibly kill them. He said, "If you're truly a student of this university, don't ever come crying to me. If you get into a fight with someone, beat him up and if need be, murder him. I'll take care after that."
