Kerala floods: Centre clears ₹2,500 cr for relief

The Centre has approved an additional ₹2,500 crore for relief and rehabilitation in Kerala, which was battered by floods in August. The state, however, has also been asked to pay ₹290 crore for rations provided by the centre and the services of the Indian Air Force. According to a UN report, the state suffered ₹31,000 crore in damages in one the worst floods in its history.
