After a long period of 7 months and the longest-ever shutdown in its 112-year-history, Assam's Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve opens doors to tourists today.

The park shut down in March in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wearing face masks, using hand sanitisers and maintaining social distancing will be absolutely necessary inside the park premises. A limited number of safaris will be allowed at a single point in time, with sanitisation of every jeep after every trip.

As of now, no elephant safari will be allowed.
